Imen Ktari is an assistant teacher at the Higher Institute of Applied Languages and Computer Science, Beja, Tunisia. She got her BA and aggregation from the Ecole Normale Superieure, Tunis. Her PhD Thesis (in progress) is on postmodification in academic and popular medical articles. She is mainly interested in syntax, semantics, Systemic Functional Linguistics, and scientific discipline. Her publications include: “Markedness of Simple and Multiple Postmodification in Popular and Academic Medical Articles” (2014), “Adjunct and Complement Postmodifiers in Popular and Academic Medical Articles: a Generative Corpus-Based Approach” (2012) and “Enhancement Postmodifiers of Time and Place in Academic and Popular Medical Articles: a Functional Corpus-Based Approach” (2011).
